I fully support your message and would like to help.

Do you need volunteers?

There are several ways you can help START:

  • You will find provide practical, encouraging bite-sized tips through our social media feeds (Facebook and Instagram) and can follow our blog (RSS) to have helpful content delivered straight to your email inbox. One of the easiest ways you can help create awareness about healthy tech use is by liking and sharing Facebook or Instagram posts, and forwarding our messages to friends!

  • Join the Waitlist and let your school, faith, or corporate leaders know that you would like to see our program brought to your school.

  • If you are able, consider giving a donation to help fund our operations or sharing about our work with others who might be interested in donating. We are a non-profit organization, and most of our work has been accomplished through sweat equity and pro-bono support. Your financial gift would help us sustain our efforts and poise us to grow as an organization.

  • If there are particular skills or services you’d like to share, please use our Contact Us form and detail your interests.

START isn’t available in my community yet.

Is there anything I can do to bring it here?

Even as we work to ensure that our products are effective in Kansas City, we are keeping an ear to the ground on where we might expand next. The best way you can let us know about the demand in your community is to Join The Waitlist, and invite others in your community to do the same. We are particularly interested in partnering with school districts, community organizations, and corporations who want to be on the cutting edge of tackling this issue for health and well-being of the next generation and whose community shows momentum.

I am anxious for a chance to discuss your efforts and share your strategies in my community.

Is there a way for me to learn more?

Yes! We periodically host informational conference calls for outside communities who are looking to learn more about our efforts. To stay informed about our next offering, please submit a Contact Us form and in the subject line, type “Info Session.” We will reach out and let you know when the next session is approaching. Prior to the call, you will be required to fill out a brief survey to help us maximize our time together.

I am working on a project that I think aligns with your message.

What is the best way to contact you?

We would love to hear what you are working on! The best way to share more with us is by using our Contact Us form. We review each submission, but unfortunately may be able to do no more than thank you for your information. Thank you for the work you are doing!

It would be great if more parents can access the STarT Content.

Why don’t you just offer your program online?

Great question! We reference many online resources in our social media feed. But a key distinction of our program is our belief that community support is necessary to change social norms. There is power in parents coming together to tackle this issue, especially when their children are growing up together. There are many helpful things we can share with parents through our social media feed, but our in-depth program requires face-to-face conversation.

I want to share my family’s successes and questions for the benefit of others.

How might I do that?

START loves hearing stories about what has worked for your family and these can get incorporated into what we share on our social media. Please share your technique that’s worked well or a challenge you’re trying to address via our Contact Us form and it may influence some of our upcoming social media posts.

I need help with a personal situation that my family is experiencing.

Do you do individual consultations?

No, we do not offer personal consultations. If your family needs help, we encourage you to reach out to your school counselor or a licensed therapist.
